Context
Worked in the UX team to design 4 conceptual installation prototypes for Cartier to help increase customer generated contents on social media to promote brand image.

Combined service design thinking with the design of user experience.
When ideating about the four concepts, I was looking at the whole in-store experience journey and the physical and digital touch points. Our design concepts covered the experience from walking by the store (Trace), entering the store (Evoquer), walking around the store (Come-across), to after purchasing (Pulse) without burdening the salesperson.

I have brought multi-disciplinary design skills into this project.
I was responsible to draw 20 storyboards for the ideas that come up during the ideation workshop; I was able to apply my industrial design knowledge and skills to help with the installation structure design and the 3D renderings; I also help designed the demo of the application using Sketch; and lastly, I used my sound design skills to make sound effects for the Come-across and Evoquer concept.

Learned about stakeholder engagements.
I participated from the start of the project to the delivery stage, during which we present to the client every week to get the useful information, needs, and concerns. When the client demanded 2 more design, I learned from the PM to immediately create a time schedule with specific plans. Lastly, when the clients felt uncertain about any idea, we always tried to do research and find evidence to convince them.

Trace
When a potential customer walk by the installation, the L-shaped mirror strips will turn to another side of the mirror as they walk, from the face of a panther to a walking panther as if the person's reflection turned into a panther in the mirrored world.

Évoquer
When customers are looking at the pieces, using hologram, the symbolic characteristics of the jewelries in the display stand are projected onto the jewelries themselves, telling the stories and histories of these signiture pieces.

Come-across
When a customer walks near this installation in the store, they can see half of their portrait and half of the animation of a little panther. When they touch the mirror, the panther in the mirror touches their hand as well.

Pulse
After purchasing, the sales will invite customers in couple to place their hands on a stand installed with a heartbeat sensor. Their unique heartbeat curves will appear on the screen and merge into one. Customers can then scan the QR code and save this video as a souvenir of their relationship.
